Data we handle
The data involved depends on the feature you use and the consent choices you make.
- Technical delivery data such as IP address, browser information, requested URL and time, used to deliver and secure the website.
- The country code Cloudflare derives from the IP address to select the initial site language. The website does not store this country code in a separate database.
- Contact details and message content when you send an email or start a booking enquiry.
- Your name, email address, selected language, signup source, signup time and status, and the version of the consent wording when you subscribe.
- The identifier of the selected free music download when you request one by email. We do not automatically send earlier downloads that you did not request.
- Delivery, bounce, complaint and unsubscribe events handled by Brevo. Open and click events are used only where enabled in Brevo and lawful under the applicable rules.
- Page-use and interaction events sent to Google Analytics only after analytics consent.
- Page-view and interaction events sent to Google and Meta only after marketing consent.
Purposes and legal bases
Secure site delivery, abuse prevention and selecting an appropriate default language by country rely on legitimate interests. Contact data is used to answer your enquiry and, where relevant, take steps before entering a contract.
The newsletter and subscriber free-music programme rely on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and the applicable Hungarian direct-marketing rules. This covers sending the selected and future free music, as well as news about Subrage releases and shows.
Signup uses single opt-in. Actively ticking an empty checkbox and submitting the form gives consent; no separate confirmation click is required. To demonstrate consent, we record the name, email address, time, source, language, wording version and, for a download request, the selected material.
Analytics and marketing technologies rely on consent. Optional tags do not load before your choice. You can withdraw consent at any time through Privacy choices in the footer.
Free music and the newsletter
Music requested by email forms part of the Subrage subscriber programme. Before submission, the form clearly states that email may cover the selected item, future free music, new releases and shows.
The first automated email delivers only the item you selected. If new free music is released later, we may send it to the full subscriber list for your language. You do not receive older items retroactively merely because you joined through a later one.
Consent is voluntary and may be withdrawn at any time, free of charge. After withdrawal, we do not send further marketing or free-music emails. You do not need to delete a file that was already delivered.
Service providers and transfers
Cloudflare supports website delivery, security and technical logging. We use Brevo as a data processor for newsletter contacts, consent records, language lists and email delivery. Brevo states that its primary databases are hosted in the European Union.
If you consent, Google Ireland Limited may provide analytics and advertising measurement, while Meta Platforms Ireland Limited may provide advertising measurement. Hosting, security and measurement providers may use subprocessors.
Spotify and Google Maps embeds load automatically after you consent to the External content category. Spotify AB or Google Ireland Limited may then receive IP address and device data as independent controllers. These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, the relevant provider's transfer safeguards – such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses – apply.
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on an applicable adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or another GDPR safeguard. You may request further information or a copy of the relevant safeguard from the controller. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
Data used for the newsletter, free music and proof of consent is kept until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent. We act on withdrawal without undue delay, remove or permanently block the contact in the marketing register, and send no further messages of this kind.
Brevo may retain the minimum email identifier and unsubscribe status on a technical suppression list solely to prevent further sends. You may request full erasure unless limited retention is required for a current legal dispute or mandatory legal obligation. We use delivery and interaction events for campaign measurement for no more than 24 months, then erase or aggregate them.
Your cookie consent choice is stored on this device for 180 days. Enquiry data is kept until the enquiry is resolved, then only for a necessary contractual, accounting or legal-claims period. Cloudflare security logs may be kept for the provider's short operational retention periods.
The Cookie Policy lists the technologies and their typical lifetimes.
Whether data is required and the consequences
You do not need to subscribe to view the website. Name, email address and active consent are required to join the list and receive a subscriber-only free music link by email. Without them, we cannot add you to the list or send that link.
Accepting analytics, marketing or external-content cookies is not required to use the website or subscribe.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction or erasure of your personal data, or restriction of its processing. Where the conditions apply, you may request portability and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal. We answer requests without undue delay and normally within one month.
- You may complain to the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH): Falk Miksa utca 9–11, 1055 Budapest; postal address: 1363 Budapest, Pf. 9; email: [email protected]; phone: +36 1 391 1400; www.naih.hu – or to your local supervisory authority.
- You may also bring proceedings before a court, including the court at your habitual residence where applicable.

Automated decisions and updates
This website does not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for you. The form language automatically selects the Hungarian or English Brevo list, while the selected material identifier determines the first email's download link. This has no legal or similarly significant effect.
If you consent to marketing cookies, audience data may be used in Google and Meta systems to personalise advertising.
We may update this policy when services or legal requirements change. The effective date is shown at the top of this page.
